The GMDN Agency is now a Liaison Member of the Asia Harmonization Working Party (AHWP) at their annual meeting in Oman on 14th November 2019. Mr Ali M Al-Dalaan, Chair of AHWP welcome the GMDN Agency and stated "We also hope that this connection will give more support on the ongoing harmonization of requirements, procedures and standards in the global scope of medical device regulations." The purpose of AHWP is to encourage the developments and dissemination of knowledge to harmonize medical device regulations in global regions.
